My journey into jewellery design began as an unexpected yet profound escape during a pivotal time in my life. While preparing for my second state law exam in Germany, I sought solace in the art of crafting handmade jewellery. What started as a meditative practice soon blossomed into a passionate pursuit, one that intertwined creativity with my deep-seated values.
In 2023 and again in 2024, I traveled to Pushkar, Rajasthan, to immerse myself in the rich traditions of Indian craftsmanship. Those months were transformative, sparking a deeper love for creating pieces that tell a story—one of sustainability, ethics, and beauty.
As someone who has been vegan since more than a decade, my commitment to the environment as well as animal and human rights is at the heart of everything I do. This passion drives me to meticulously research and select materials that are not only upcycled but also vegan and ethically sourced. I believe that jewellery should be as kind to the earth and its inhabitants as it is beautiful to wear.
Back in Berlin, after passing my law exam, I found inspiration in the city’s vibrant flea markets. It was there that I discovered a treasure trove of forgotten cutlery and other objects, each with its own history. These discoveries inspired me to create jewellery that breathes new life into the old, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary while staying true to my values.
I bring with me a collection that not only reflects the spirit of Berlin’s flea markets and the craftsmanship of Rajasthan but also embodies my commitment to ethical, vegan, and sustainable practices.
